Golf Clubs

There are now(2008) 13 golf clubs or golf courses in Hungary and more planning to open in the future. Giving you a golf club within reach in 30 minutes where ever you are in Hungary.

Golf ClubsA new 18 hole golf course at Royal Balaton Golf & Yacht Club boasts some fantastic views over Lake Balaton and is at Balatonudvari near Tihany. The Club opened its 18-hole championship course in October 2008.

These are the current fees(as at Dec. 2008). Please check with the club before booking.

 

Green fees when you turn up on the day for 2009 are as follows:

  • Weekdays 18 holes - 13,000 HUF
  • Weekdays 9 holes - 8,500 HUF
  • Weekend 18 holes - 18,000 HUF
  • Weekend 9 holes - 11,500 HUF

Golf Courses There is a special membership system for foreigners, which provides a lifetime membership, ten x 18-hole green fees yearly and other special benefits. This costs 880,000 HUF then you can either pay 400 Euros for 10 x 18 hole rounds or 260,000 HUF for unlimited rounds.

 

 

The Imperial Balaton Golf course near Keszthely has a driving range open and the 18 hole course is now complete. Being directly at Lake Balaton this unique location is ideal for an eighteen-hole championship course and in addition to the golf club the guests will be able to enjoy a beach for swimming, a tennis court and a club house with restaurant. The popular tourist destinations Keszthely and Heviz are also only a few minutes away from the golf club.

The cost of playing golf in Hungary is relatively inexpensive, however for those that own property in Hungary the real cost is even less and they have an investment that is growing in value.
